Rental Terms

These terms apply to every equipment rental from Rockbase Media ("Rockbase", "we"). By ticking the box and signing on the rental page, you ("the renter") agree to them.

1. Who can rent

Renters must be 18 or older and verify their identity with a MyKad or passport before any rental is confirmed. The person collecting the equipment must be the person named on the ID, or a representative we have approved in writing.

2. Booking and rental period

A request on our website is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it in writing with the final price. Rates are per 24-hour day from the agreed pick-up time. Prices shown on the website are estimates.

3. Deposit and payment

We may require payment and a refundable security deposit before pick-up. The amount is stated in your quote. The deposit is refunded after the equipment is returned and inspected, less any charges under these terms.

4. Care and use

You must use the equipment with reasonable care, for its intended purpose, and only yourself or your crew. You must not lend, sub-rent, sell, modify or repair it. Drones may only be flown by a qualified pilot in line with Malaysian law, including any CAAM permits the flight requires; the renter is responsible for those permits.

5. Loss, theft and damage

From pick-up until return, you are responsible for the equipment. If it is lost, stolen or damaged, you will pay the repair cost, or the replacement cost at current market value if it cannot be repaired. Report any loss or damage to us within 24 hours. For theft, a police report is required.

6. Late return

Equipment returned late is charged at the daily rate for each extra day or part day, unless we agreed an extension in writing.

7. Inspection

We check the equipment with you at pick-up and at return. Please raise any issue at pick-up; otherwise the equipment is taken to be in good working order.

8. Cancellation

Cancellation terms are stated in your quote.

9. Your personal data

We collect your name, contact details and a copy of your ID only to verify your identity and manage your rental. Your ID is stored privately, seen only by authorised Rockbase staff, never shared with third parties except where the law requires, and deleted when no longer needed for the rental or legal purposes. 10. Limitation

We are not liable for loss of footage, data, income or other indirect loss arising from equipment failure. Our liability is limited to the rental fees paid for that booking.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
